Johnson's Sugar House Johnson's Farm is a family-owned and operated restaurant, sugarhouse, and gift shop located in Orange, Massachusetts serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They've been making their own maple syrup for the last 100+ years, and also carry a wide variety of hand- made arts and crafts, paintings, photographs, and much more. It is also available for reservation for dinner parties, meetings, or luncheons. It holds 32 people. Maple sugaring has been a 100+ year tradition for the Johnsons, beginning in 1900 when the family acquired the farm on Wheeler Avenue in Orange, Massachusetts. Currently, the maple sap comes from 4,500 taps. About 500 are near the sugarhouse. There are 1,500 taps on line, a network of tubing attached to trees that drains sap into a storage tank, as well as about 3,000 old fashioned bucket taps.
