Cambridge, Mass., July 26, 2007--Broker/Owner Bill Luther and Senior Vice President/Relocation & Sales Director Catherine Luther of Channing Real Estate, have announced that the Cambridge company they founded in 1987 is now an independently owned and operated franchise of Weichert Real Estate Affiliates, Inc. New Signs are up at 111 Mount Auburn Street in Harvard Square, where newly-named WEICHERT, REALTORS - Channing Real Estate is currently home to 20 agents.

Luther is bullish on Weichert. He said, "We are looking forward to unequalled educational opportunities for agents, along with the latest systems and tools, literally at our fingertips." Luther said that their agent population is growing despite industry turnover, and he wanted to give them "every opportunity," which includes exposure to wider selling techniques and new lines of business. As a member of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, the Cambridge agency can advance their relocation outreach as well, Luther pointed out, with Weichert's prominence in that industry.

Weichert Affiliates President martin J. Rueter welcomed the new franchise to the team.
